What's Included
Old consumer unit safely removed and disposed of
We disconnect and remove your existing board, including any asbestos-padded units (handled under safe working procedures).
New dual-RCD or RCBO consumer unit installed
Your new board provides individual RCD or RCBO protection on every circuit, meeting the requirements of BS 7671 18th Edition Amendment 2.
All circuits tested before re-energisation
Every circuit is individually tested after installation to confirm correct operation before the power is restored.
Building Regulations notification (Part P)
As NAPIT-registered contractors, we self-certify the work and notify building control on your behalf. You receive a completion certificate.
Full Electrical Installation Certificate issued
Your certificate is valid for insurance, mortgage and property sale purposes.
Why It Matters
Old fuse boxes don't provide adequate protection
Rewireable fuses and early MCB boards offer no RCD protection — meaning a fault can cause a serious electric shock or fire before the circuit trips.

How It Works
Survey & quote
We assess your existing board, identify the number of circuits and any existing issues, and provide a same-day fixed-price quote.
Installation day
We isolate the supply, fit the new board, connect all circuits and carry out full testing — usually within 4–6 hours.
Test & certify
All circuits are tested to BS 7671 and a full Electrical Installation Certificate is issued. Building control is notified.
Re-energise
Power is restored to the property the same day. We walk you through your new board before we leave.
