These Terms and Conditions govern the supply of electrical services by FACE Electrical Ltd ("we", "us", "our") to our clients. By accepting a quotation or instructing us to carry out work, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. About Us

FACE Electrical Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales. Our registered address is Studio 1 Clarks Courtyard, 145 Granville Street, Birmingham B1 1SB. You can contact us at stuart@face-electrical.co.uk or 07565 617304.

2. Quotations

All quotations are provided free of charge and are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. A quotation is not a contract — work will only begin once you have formally accepted the quotation in writing (including by email).

Quotations are based on the information available at the time of assessment. If additional work is identified once work has begun that was not reasonably foreseeable, we will notify you and provide a revised price before proceeding.

3. Our Services

We provide domestic, commercial and industrial electrical services including but not limited to installation, testing, inspection, maintenance and fault-finding. All work is carried out by qualified electricians in accordance with:

• BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations, 18th Edition)
• Building Regulations Part P (where applicable)
• All current relevant British Standards and codes of practice

4. Your Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide safe and reasonable access to the premises and work areas
• Ensure all relevant permissions, consents or landlord approvals are obtained prior to work commencing
• Inform us of any known hazards, asbestos, or pre-existing faults on the premises
• Ensure the site is clear and ready for work on the agreed date

5. Payment Terms

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due within 14 days of the date of our invoice. For larger projects, we may require a deposit (typically 25–50%) before work commences, with the balance due on completion.

We accept payment by bank transfer. Details will be provided on your invoice. We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue invoices at 8% above the Bank of England base rate under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

6. Variations and Additional Work

Any variation to the agreed scope of work must be authorised by you in writing before we proceed. We will provide a written variation order detailing the additional cost and any impact on the agreed completion date.

7. Guarantee and Warranty

We guarantee all workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of completion. This guarantee covers defects in our workmanship but does not cover:

• Damage caused by misuse, accidental damage or third-party interference
• Manufacturer defects in materials or equipment supplied (these are subject to the relevant manufacturer's warranty)
• Faults arising from pre-existing conditions that were not discoverable at the time of work

All notifiable electrical work is certified and registered with the relevant competent person scheme (NAPIT) as required by Building Regulations.

8. Liability

Our total liability to you for any loss or damage arising from our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the specific services that gave rise to the claim.

We shall not be liable for indirect, consequential or economic losses including but not limited to loss of profit, loss of revenue or loss of opportunity.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or any liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Cancellation

If you wish to cancel a confirmed booking, please notify us as soon as possible. Cancellations with less than 48 hours' notice may be subject to a charge to cover materials ordered and time allocated. We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule appointments in exceptional circumstances and will give you as much notice as possible.

10. Disputes

In the event of a dispute, we encourage you to contact us in the first instance so we can seek to resolve the matter informally. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be published on our website. Continued engagement of our services following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
