Why It Matters

No Messy Cables

Concealed cabling looks professional and avoids the trip hazards and clutter of surface-mounted trunking.

Reliable Connection

Wired Ethernet is always faster and more stable than Wi-Fi for streaming, gaming and working from home.

Future-Proof

CAT6 cabling supports gigabit speeds and can carry data, CCTV and VoIP — adaptable as your needs change.

Professional Home Cabling Across the West Midlands

In a connected home, the quality of your cabling infrastructure has a direct impact on your daily experience. Streaming 4K content that constantly buffers, a home office connection that drops out during video calls, or a wall-mounted television surrounded by a tangle of visible cables — all are symptoms of cabling that was never done properly. FACE Electrical installs neat, professional TV, data and connectivity cabling for homeowners across Birmingham, Sutton Coldfield, Solihull, Walsall, Coventry and throughout the West Midlands, leaving your home looking exactly as it should — clean and cable-free.

All cabling is concealed within walls, under floors or routed through the loft space wherever structurally possible. We never rely on surface trunking unless there is genuinely no alternative, and where it is required, we use colour-matched trunking that blends with your décor. Wall plates are flush-fitted and matched to your existing sockets and switches for a truly seamless finish. Whether you need a single TV point moving, a whole-home CAT6 network cabling run or a Sky Q dish and multi-room satellite installation, the standard of finish is always the same.

A wired Gigabit Ethernet network is faster, more reliable, more secure and more future-proof than Wi-Fi for devices that stay in one place — smart TVs, games consoles, desktop PCs, NAS drives and network printers all benefit enormously. CAT6 cable also carries CCTV, VoIP and smart home signals, so the investment supports multiple systems for years to come.

New-build and renovation projects particularly benefit from our structured cabling approach — wired in during the build phase for minimal disruption.

Wired vs Wireless: The Key Differences

  • Speed: CAT6 delivers consistent 1 Gbps — Wi-Fi rarely does
  • Reliability: No neighbour interference or dead spots
  • Security: Wired signals cannot be intercepted wirelessly
  • Latency: Essential for gaming, 4K streaming & video calls
  • Future-proof: Same cable supports IoT, CCTV and VoIP

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you hide all the cables behind the wall?

In most cases yes. We fish cables through wall cavities and under floors to achieve a clean, cable-free finish. Where concealment isn't possible, we use matching trunking.

Will you install Sky Q or Sky Glass?

We install the satellite dish and cable runs. Sky equipment activation is handled by Sky directly, though we'll co-ordinate the cabling to make the Sky engineer's visit straightforward.

Is CAT6 better than Wi-Fi for streaming?

For 4K streaming and gaming, a wired CAT6 connection eliminates buffering and interference. We recommend wiring the main entertainment areas and home office.

Do you install external aerials on listed buildings?

We advise checking permitted development rules for listed buildings. In most cases we can fit discreet loft aerials as an alternative.
